Professional Certificate Programs
The College of Nursing and Health Professions Graduate Studies in Nursing offers four certificate programs. A master’s degree in Nursing is required for enrollment in all certificate programs. An official transcript is required to verify completion of the masters degree in Nursing.
The four certificate options available are (1) Healthcare Systems Leadership, (2) Nursing Education, (3) Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, and (4) Family Nurse Practitioner. It takes approximately one year to complete either the Healthcare Systems Leadership or Nursing Education certificate program. It takes approximately two years to complete either the Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practition or Family Nurse Practitioner certificate program. Upon completion of the certificate program, the student will receive a certificate from the College of Nursing and Health Professions as well as have graduate credit hours posted to an official transcript.
