IS - MSIS (Management Concentration) 4+1 Program

The Lewis University MSIS 4+1 Program option allows Information Systems majors to complete their undergraduate and graduate MSIS degree programs in less time than would be possible if taken separately. The graduate hours will be used to complete the Bachelor’s degree and to satisfy requirements for the Master’s degree. Students must apply for admission to the 4+1 Program option by submitting a MSIS 4+1 Program Intent Form to the Graduate School of Management at the beginning of their senior year. Students admitted to the program must begin the MSIS coursework in the semester following graduation.

Information Systems majors must have completed a minimum of 90 credit hours with a GPA of at least 3.0 for all undergraduate coursework, including any transfer credit. Undergraduate Information Systems majors must complete the graduate MSIS courses with a “B-” or better for admission into the MSIS 4+1 Program.

Graduate courses eligible for completion as undergraduates:

  • INSY 50500 Introduction to Information Security replaces INSY 45000 Enterprise Security
  • INSY 51000 Data Networking replaces INSY 43000 Data Networks
  • INSY 56300 Database Management and Security replaces INSY 33000 Database Management Systems
