Secondary Certification in Social Science with Psychology Designation
In conjunction with the College of Education, the offers an option which prepares candidates to teach in grades 6-12 in public and private schools in the State of Illinois. The program is approved by the State Teacher Certification Board in conjunction with the Illinois State Board of Education and includes all the requirements for a major in Psychology as well general social studies core courses. Teacher Education candidates major in both Psychology and Secondary Education and should consult with advisors in both the Psychology Department and the College of Education. Candidates can have a maximum of two “C’s” in their content area classes.
