Contemporary Global Studies / Minor

This minor, housed in the Department of History, is available to all students and is particularly relevant for those majoring in History, Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, Human Resource Management, and Communication in the College of Arts and Sciences, as well as for all majors in the College of Business. Majors and minors in these disciplines should avoid course duplication and must complete two upper-division courses and one other three-credit course applicable only to the CGS minor.

Other courses may be suitable for this minor and may be substituted for electives after consultation with and permission from the Chair of the Department of History. In addition, the Lewis Study Abroad Program may be incorporated into this minor after consultation with and permission from the academic advisor, the Chair of the Department of History, and the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.
