14-xxx: Pianists have the option of taking eight semesters of applied piano, but at least two semesters of piano are required of all music majors.

II. The advanced writing requirement is met by Music majors by the successful completion of 14-311 Music History I and 14-312 Music History II.

III. Comprehensive examinations in Music theory and history are required by the department for graduation. The capstone course, 14-497 Music Seminar, offered online, is designed to prepare Music majors for these examinations.
