An introduction to the Spanish language, with an emphasis on oral proficiency. The course includes small-group activities to ensure opportunities to practice the use of Spanish. NOTE: This course is also offered in a format specifically designed to include vocabulary useful to selected groups of professionals, e.g., teachers, nurses or law enforcement officers.
